While Rune from People Like Us was on his collaboration tour, he came to make a beer with us and it was an absolute pleasure to have him. We brewed a Grapefruit & Pineapple Brut based on the recipe for a ‘Soleil’ Champagne cocktail that we’ve called Lil’ Soleil. Featuring Vic Secret hops, it is balanced with a tart fruit character and characteristic dryness. Vic Secret brings notes of pineapple, passionfruit and a hint of pine needles. It is easy drinkin!

Can from Cotteridge Wines and shared with the KL tasting crew. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, pineapple citrus. The flavour is moderate sour, light sweet, with a yeasty, tart grapefruit citrus, mineral, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

440ml can courtesy of Steve Matthews, at Peter Fowlers, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, cheers Peter! Friday 1st February 2019 also in the company of Peters daughter Claire. Pours hazy yellowy colour with a white head. Cheesy and sweaty socks on the nose, but in the mouth quite different, it's zippy and fresh and a little tart. Great beer.

Can sourced from HonestBrew, shared at home - pours a light hazed golden yellow colour and with a small white dissipating head. Sweet and zesty fruity with prominent pineapple and grapefruit notes, medium body, hoppy slight drying finish.

Can at home, picked up from HL1, 05/01/19. Hazed yellow orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is grassy, melon, stoned fruits, airy malts, orange zest, papaya. Taste comprises mandarin, grass, melon, toasted grains, white grape, gentle citric pith, hint of stoned fruits, light pine dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced juicy to faint off dank hop bitterness. Decent for the brut sub genre ... one of the better brut IPA offerings I've had.

500ml can. Hazy pale yellow with a lot of sediment, white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit. Taste features grapefruit and pineapple too, quite zesty, sweet, tropical, the finish is pithy and bitter citrus peel, doesn't seem any drier than a typical IPA. Medium body, soft-moderate carbonation. Not sure I'd have classed this as Brut, but I liked it nonetheless, pineapple and grapefruit work really well together.
