Can @ Mikkeller, Odense. Pours hazy Golden with a White head. Pine and tangerine. Smooth and full bodied with a short bitter finish. Dope

‘Generic’ double IPA by this established Swedish craft brewer, from a can at Bar Beenhouwer. Thick and mousy, egg-white, large-bubbled but dense and stable head, initially clear ‘old gold’ robe turning hazy and deeper peachy with the sediment added. Aroma of papaja, fresh orange zest, Screwdriver (wodka with orange juice), rambutan, biscuit cake, mandarin, sweet bell peppers, shallot, green olive, birch sap, gin. Sweet, juicy onset, mango, guava, lychee and ripe pineapple, lively carbonated even to the point of annoyingly stinging a little bit, full oily body; biscuity, somewhat cookie-like malt base, very aromatic and bit resinous hoppy finish, exuberantly fruity with tropical mango and refreshing citric orange character, pineapple and lime zest aspects as well, heated by quite outspoken, wodka-like alcohol, amplifying the Screwdriver effect of this beer and even turning a bit wry in the end. Malty and fruity IPA at the same time, trying to appeal to all IPA sides a bit I guess, but a bit overcarbonated and a tad too obviously alcoholic to truly succeed in doing so.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 Nov 2018) Hazy golden amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, resin and a generous citric/tropical bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA, with generous amounts of fresh hops. Nice one.

440ml can. Hazy orange, white head, a shitload of sediment floating around. Aroma of sweet tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit. Taste is sweet, passionfruit, mango, light malts, caramel, grapefruit, resin, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Shame about the appearance as this was a great beer.

Nice easy drinkable dipa this one. Hazed golden pour with a fine head. Ok lacing Looks nice and inviting. The aroma is also typical to style. Lovely hoppy with a fine intensity. Balanced fine bitterness and a solid hoppy tail. Grapefruit hoppy, tropical and pine in the flavor. [Can from Systembolaget in Sweden]

Can from Andgun87 as part of EU local swap 01/2019, thanks. Hoppy aroma and taste, citrus fruit, malty notes, light sweet notes, medium bitter. Medium to full body, hoppy and malty bitter finish. Ok.

(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, April 10/19) Pours rather hazy gold with a white head. Notes of sweet lightly syrupy malt, biscuit and grain, ripe fruit (orange, pineapple, some mixed tropical stuff), lots of citrus oil, resin, pine needle and dank in the background, finishing dry and grainy and rather bitter. Light to medium bodied for style, light carb, a little alcohol. Feels a bit tired and uninspired, not overly bright and juicy relative to the malt. Okay, not the Stigbergets of old.

Tap at Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Color is slightly cloudy golden with very small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, fruits, some hops and malts. Sweet IPA.
