An orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is malty combined with notes of straw, while the flavor primarily is of straw, and with a dry end and a thin body.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Fantastic, floral hop aroma. The body is very light - if not to say watery. Weak touch of malt with only a faint hint of bitterness. But a neat and fresh light pilsener. 201105

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, white bubbly mediumsized head, which vanished quickly. Skunked hops in aroma. Unclean malty/hoppy flavour. Double is indeed, as it is watery...

Bottled (BB 02/2006)
Pale golden yellow color, very small head, some lace. Strong skunky hoppy aroma. Watery, light - as name says - body. Harsh flavor, otherwise quite tasteless. Useless brew.

Bottle. Light, sweet, malty aroma. Pale, golden with small, white head. As far as I remember, ice beer is made by freezeing it, and removing water, but leaving the alcohol. In this beer they removed the alcohol and most the flavours and left the water. A little carbonation in the palate, and some bitterness at the end. Unlike most Norwegian n/a-beers, this doesn’t taste bad, it just doesn’t taste. (050925)

"Double Ice Light" - well, at least the name tells you what to expect - pure misery. Ice beers are brewed to have as little flavour as possible, still keeping a normal alcohol content. (For people who don''t like beer, but still want a buzz). Light (meaning low ABV) beers in Norway are brewed (unsuccessfully, mostly) for people who have to drive, but still want at least a trace of beer flavour. Behold - here''s at last a beer that combines the worst of two worlds: no flavour and hardly any alcohol!
