330ml bottle. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma of tonka, chocolate, caramel. Taste is very heavy on the tonka, plenty of dark chocolate too, caramel (which doesn't seem salted), a bit of booze at the end, warming. Medium-full bodied, smooth.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour reveals a pitch black body, scattered lacing from a dissipating tan head. Spiced dark malty aromas, caramel and chocolate, appealing. Rich taste profile of caramel, almond, earth and salty spices. Roasted toffee-caramel finish, sweet but not overly sweet. Full bodied. Pleasing slow sipper on a Saturday eve. (Tromsø 20.08.2022).

Aus der Flasche im 2022-08 getrunken. Dieses Stout kommt mit einer sehr guten Balance zwischen Röstaromen von dunkler Schokolade, eher im Hintergrund sehr gut balancierte Tonka und einer Süße daher. Nicht das erste Stout von Põhjala was überzeugt - Toll!

Re rating from bottle April 2024. Nothing to adjust here, still a very nice imp. Stout with tonka beans.

Superficial festival rating at Brew Festival, Oslo 2022. Saturday session 2. Pitch black body under small, dense beige head. Aroma has smooth roasted dark malt and plenty of perfumed Tonka. Taste is sweet and malty, dark, smooth roasted malt, caramel, tonka and alcohol. Less alcohol than expected from a 12% beer. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice and sweet pastry stout.

Drukket på Lillehøgda. Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som blir skumring. Ekstra søt karamellaroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken søt kaffe & litt lakris. Lett krydret, pepperkakeaktig avslutning. Her var det litt over stokk og stein.

33cl bottle at tasting 09.07.2022. Poured pitch black in color. Oily mouthfeel. Overdose of tonka beens. Caramel, sweetness and tonka. Quite horrible.
