Tamaki is the first of our Ducktations Series where we have fun experimenting with flavors, style and brewing techniques. Our NEIPA style beer is named after the Tamaki river in New Zealand. We chose this name as the dominant hops in this beer are grown in New Zealand. We used various boil, wet and dry hopping to optimize the aroma and flavor of this well hopped and balanced beer.

From tap at The Crafty Cellar, Cascais. Mildly fruity aroma with notes of peach, citrus, orange, tropical notes. Some soft pale malt. Light to mild bitter, lightly sweetish. Medium body. Easy.

Bitter, slightly resinous, a bit more American IPA than New England in my opinion.

Keg at the Crafty Cellar, Cascais, 25/03/22. Clear golden with a decent lasting white cap. Nose is melon, grass, airy malts, tangerine, floral notes. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, soft malts, breads, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced light juicy hop bitterness. Crushable on a hot day if a little basic.

Tap at The Crafty Cellar, Cascais. Slightly cloudy orange colour, small off-white head and lace. Light overriped tropical fruits in the nose. Light-bodied. Light riped tropical fruits, maltyness, some bitterness. Not much of neipa.
