Gold with a thin, frothy white, head. Grainy, cereal aroma with touches of honey and butter. Taste is grainy bitter with touches of fruit candy, caramel and spice at the end. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation. Dry. Okay.

Fläschla: Golden, hazy, stable medium-sized creamy off-white head; moderate sweet-bitter malty-bisquity nose, shy herbal-piney hops in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; gets drier and hoppier towards the herbal-piney and pale-malty finish. Not exciting, but a Bock of decent quality...

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly grainy malty arom a with notes of caramel, white bread and vanilla, accompanied citric and flowery, also slightly spicy hoppy notes. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly sugary malty start with grainy and delicately bready notes, accompanied by a whiff of caramel and subtle fruity hints; sweet malty, grainy finish with a discreetly bitter but flowery hoppy touch. Perhaps a tad too sweet, at least by Franconian standards. 26.VI.17
