Fles 33cl thuis. Zoeten, rood fruit, caramel, kruidig, licht boozy, rogge, bittertonen, beetje koffie, licht vineus. (12-3-2021).

Pours a clear deep ruby reddish brown colour and a huge light beige head with long retention. Aroma's: sweet malts, caramel, a bit red fruit. Retronasal there's caramel, fudge, light herbal bitterness. Flavour is above moderate sweet with light bitterness. Warming alcohol, medium bodied, quite high carbonation. Finishes a bit ashy and moderate bitter. Not exciting but very decent quad.

Bottle. Amber color. Malt, toffee and earthy grassy notes in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with soft grassy notes and toffee. Full bodied. Pleasant.

Dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, roast, chocolate, taste is the same, bitter, dry, coffee. Alcohol warmth. Nice.

Shared bottle @ tasting with TomHendriksen, Inoven and Roelzie86. Amber color, beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, overripe fruit. Typical barley wine and while it's nothing special, in the sense of extraordinary, but a good standard barley wine imo. Original review text: Bottle @ home. Dark red-brown color with a medium sized beige head that diminishes quickly but leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts and a bit sourish. Taste malts, sweetish, some caramel, but also bitter and again maybe a light tart hint. Decent body and carbonation. Meh.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai en gedronken met Tomhendriksen en Roelzie86. Amberkleurig bier met matig schuim. Aroma van koffie en karamel. Smaak is zoet en fruitig, ook de koffiesmaak is te herkennen.
