Former name: "Barock Hell".

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweetish grainy malt with bread, straw, lightly honey-ish with mild spicy tones and slightly fruity bittering noble hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a decent hoppy bitterness. Body is medium. Pretty robust Helles, lots of character.

500 ml bottle, as Weltenburger Kloster Spezial Festbier, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish pilsener malts, newmown grass and floral and herbal hops. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of herbal hops on a background of moderate sweetish malts, a fairly distinct hop bitterness in the dry aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear medium golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, light wort, bread, light caramel, hay. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainish, bread, light caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bit cardboard, a solid märzen.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours an almost clear golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of cereals, hay, straw, grass and honey. Taste is the same notes as the aroma, malts, more honey, hints of lemon and a dry light grassy hop finish. Medium bodied, smooth very slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice lager.

24-03-20 // taster from a 500ml bottle. Smooth. Grains. Hay. Grass. Fresh green grass. Biscuit. Minimal flowery citrus aromas. And a mild bitterness. Good.

# 1187; 9/2018. Jako představitel stylu velmi povedený pivo - ve vůni obilné v chuti sladové, lehce citrusové a kořenité.

Surprised that I hadn't rated this before as I see it regularly in REWE Zolling where I picked it up from. Had this Sunday 8th December 2019 whilst listening to Richard Dawson - 2020 and making Pork and Ham Pie. Pours clear warm gold with a white head, looks great. Solid Helles, nice bite, well balanced, a little fruity but nice little maltiness. Good.
