The first bottle of the Single Barrel Select series, Cali Gold. It was emptied from a 10 year old California Brandy barrel that held a huge chewy English Barleywine for 27 MONTHS. Over the course of this time, we lost 25% of the barrel volume to evaporation leaving the beer more concentrated with waves of velvety caramel and dates, intertwined with vanilla, oak, and brandy, all balanced by booze.

LCI. The first of many still experiments i hope and not even just 3 sons, should be more common! That abv needs a bump though.

Bottle pour @ MBCC 2021. Complex, heavy and flat with no carbonation, loads of oxidized barrel notes, sherry, oak, bourbon, dried fruits, toffee, raisins and vanilla. Quite intense and heavy, reminds me of Xyauyu's.

Bottle at Kyrkan. Dark reddish brown, completely still. Heavy oxidative notes, loads of prunes, dates, oak, sherry, raisins. Quite fruity undertones. Not boozy at all. Borderline dessert wine.
