We teamed up with the good people from White Labs, based in Copenhagen, to craft together our version of a Saison, one of our favourite Belgian-style Ales. We used the White Labs organic Non STA1son Ale Yeast blend, with its Belgian-like profile expressing fruity and estery characteristics, it’s perfect for classic Belgian styles like this Saison.
In this Saison you’ll identify fruit-like notes, ranging from lemon and tropical fruit to chamomile, as well as an array of spice-like phenolic driven aromas like pepper, clove, and coriander.

Pale yellow, slightly hazy. Medium head, lots of laces. Yeast and nettle aroma, also some pepper. Dry peppery taste. Rather bitter for the type.

Burk. Ren, eller ska vi säga tydlig. Stiltypisk, men man saknar något lite stökigt. Citrongräs, karamell, äpple och milda kryddor.

Can thanks to my colleagues. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Spicy white pepper nose, light bready malt. Full bodied and spicy. Light bitter finish.

(Keg at Haze Wave 2022 Friday session) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, Belgian style yeast and sourness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, Belgian style yeast, sourness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, spicy and bitter. A pleasant spicy brew with a Belgian twist.

hazy pale yellow colour, minimal white lacing; aroma of lemon peel, lemongrass, coriander, gooseberry, grainy-bready, some wine cellary-yeasty and peppery notes; taste is not that citrusy as expected based on the aroma, though the lemony-citrusy notes are clearly there together with hoppy bitterness, some fruity and bready-malty notes; great one! 0.44l can. Slightly hazy golden body with a thin but lasting white head. Aroma and taste of lemon zest, lime, lemongrass, goose berry, white pepper and sugar syrup. Refreshing and very nice saison.
