(Draught at King's Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 18 Nov 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with sweet espresso, chocolate, maple syrup, treacle, oak wood and bourbon. Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet espresso, maple syrup, treacle, chocolate, liquorice, oak wood, bourbon, vanilla and a mild coffee bitterness in a sweetish finish. Full body, quite sweet. Sweet, rich and warming. Very nice.

Bottle I split at Digbrew, Bingohame convention, 02/07/22. Pitch black with a decent tan cap that veers edgewards. Nose is big coffee grinds, good bourbon waft, light spice, mellow roast, chocolate, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises coffee bean, spice, good barrel presence, light charr, modest roast,  dried fruits, kiss of booze with a balanced bourbon reposte. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. More top drawer BA produce from Digbrew.
