Our À tout le monde beer was such a success that Jerry Vietz and Dave Mustaine were happy to join in a creative collaboration once again.

The result is a delicious saison that flirts with the pale ale style. Our Saison 13, with its pale amber colour and red-orange hues, is brewed with 13 carefully selected ingredients. This distinctive beer offers the perfect combination of malt, fruit and spices punctuated by its fresh hops taste.

Bottle from the LCBO. Deep amber pour, with a large off white head. Fruity aroma, biscuit, light cereals, citrus, and herbal. MOuth feel is lively, carb is more of the same. Finish is medium bitter, floral, dry, with the typical unibroue yeasty notes from their house yeast. not bad, not great.

Pint can from Vintage Estate, 10/21/22. Hazy orange, medium beige head, average retention. Aroma of stone fruit, bready malt, green hops, white wine, hint of marzipan. Taste is stone fruit, bready malt, citrusy, green hops, scotch tape. Crisp, lingering spice. Nice.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear orange, amber color with a full 2 fingers of off-white head that lingers, then dissipates. Lovely redcurrant nose with bread and floral aromas. Smooth on the palate; a bit maltier than I like my saisons, but very drinkable. Some stone fruit and overripe citrus as it warms.

Can. hazy amber pour with a big foamy whiter head that has good retention. The aroma is pears, cardamon and cotton candy. The taste is mixed white fruits, mild spices, something mineral, and Belgian yeasts. The palate is medium. Carbonation is soft. Finishes dry with lingering yeast. Overall: Decent saison--very easy drinking. Paired well with some aged gouda cheese.

US pint can: Drank all by myself on 17th December 2021 (in Laguna Hills, California). Poured into an old Corsendonk stemmed tulip glass, hazed dirty orange look, white crown on top. Spicy notes in the nose and taste with a light ginger warmth trying to get through. I wanted to enjoy this, but it didn't really 'do it for me'.

Pint can - hazy orange pour - medium dry, with a fair amount of spicy phenolics through the middle and lingering in the finish - light to moderate acidity bordering on tartness near the end - slight buggy yeast character through the middle - light bitterness and lingering pepper on the tail end - this is my last of the four pack and I’ve enjoyed it more each time.

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with light spices and light yeasty notes. Taste is a mix of dry caramelized malt with some light spices and herbal notes with some light yeasty notes and a semi-sweet finish. Body is about average with OK carbonation. I was expecting more form Unibroue but this is poorly executed and lacks some attenuation and complexity.
