This West Coast IPA is anything but amateur. Columbus, Citra, Simcoe and Azacca hops pull the strings of an all-star cast of flavour. Citrus, resin and pine are supported by grapefruit and stone fruit with no need for an interval. A subtle malt base is present throughout and topped off by an assertive bitter encore. Sit back and enjoy the show.

Can 44 cl. ours golden with a slight haze and a roughish, white head. Spicy tropical and piney hops. Medium body with a dry and dank fruitiness. Ends quite bitter. The aroma is the best part. 090523

Can. Box filler purchase. Hazy orange gold beer, short lived and short pale cream colour head. Smooth start to the palate, airy and mildy dry, quickly develops good fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. The hops bring crisp pine followed by mellow tangerine and mandarin that are slightly floral. Whisper of soft lemon and a little hop spice. Light finish. Well fuck my old boot, this is a pleasant surprise! A clean and well brewed affair that I liked and I am NOT a fan of the West Coast style, but this beer served up something that swerved the caramel malts and bitterish marmalade that normally boxes that style into a narrow corner. After a slew of fairly shocking beers from this once great brewery, this is a glimmer of hope!

Can at home. The colour is slightly hazy golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma of pineappel, grapefruit, limegrass, white bread, diesel and pine. Flavour of lime, pineapple, passionfruit, diesel and ends a little dry with grass and hay. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium level bitterness. Fruity and hoppy. Well-balanced and tasteful.

ABV: 6.5%. Hazy medium to light orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, straw, caramel, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity malt, fruity hops, sweet hops, sweet fruit, caramel, flowers. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20230426]
