Bottle at home while the barbecue gets going. Terrible day for weather, but I'm still barbecuing! Good pour and head but a bit of an odd taste. Fruity hops and bitterness, but not in harmony. In fact they are quite jarring. Drinkable but not the best. Opening a bottle of St Emilion Grand Cru after this.

Half-pint, gravicask, shared with Finn at The International Brewing & Cider Festival 2024. Clear golden-brown body, dotted spots on the glass from a tiny white head. Moderate aromas of earthy malts added by citric moments. Citrus up front to the taste buds offset by fruity caramel. and earth. Nice bittersweet ending. Clean on the palate. Likeaable. (Manchester, 23.03.2024).

Tap at Steamworks, Seaford. Poured a crystal clear medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, biscuit malt, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. More like an English Pale than an APA.

Cask at The Plough and Harrow, Litlington. A brilliant pint of English ale. Although sold as american pale ale, it ticked the bitter boxes for me with not thst much Hop but a very dry bitter lingering ending. Happily had 3 pints of this golden beauty and could have had more. (25/10/21) ---- Bottle from the brewery. Pretty heavy ale that delivers flavour and bitterness. 3.6 to 3.4.
