Aged in port barrels, this edition possesses an incredibly vivid fruit character, crammed with flavours of cherry, blackcurrant and dried cranberry, which really accentuates the fruity coffee. Rich cacao comes in towards the tail to add a touch of bitterness, neatly balancing the fruit and complementing lingering notes of fruitcake.

22nd November 2022
Opaque black brown beer, a small but tidy tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a nice creamy smooth dark chocolate vibe with a fair helping of milk chocolate in there. Obvious Tonka dominates the mid, too much so for me. A touch of earthy coffee underneath. The Port Barrelling is a disappointment for me. Very very mild berry fruits on the back end. Modest alcohol spice on the smooth finish. Lot of high scores on this one, glad people enjoyed it, so did I, but not to the extent they did. Too much Tonka for me and not enough Port Barrel, but still a pleasant affair.
