Imperial stout from this trusted Berlin craft brewer, using more crystal and chocolate malts than previous editions apparently - all these 'Dreams' indeed differ from one another in their respective recipes. Can shared at Bar Beenhouwer, cheers Jan and Pieter. Thinnish, greyish beige, moussey, opening head on a black robe with mahogany edges. Aroma of toasted walnuts, bitter chocolate, burnt brown bread, fudge, coffee grounds, black tea, vanilla, cigar ashes, minerals. Dense, sweet onset, dried dates with a dash of black olive-like umami, medium carbonated with very full, oily, rounded body; mouth-filling roasty coffee 'blackness' and bitterness ensues, but counteracted by toffee- and chocolate-like sweet layers underneath. Slight ashy and peppery accents in the finish, where a wodka-like alcohol effect glows up; ends rich with a good balance of sweet and bitter - the roastiness being pronounced enough to use the term 'oldskool' here. Very solid.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, nuts, licorice and dried fruit. Pours pitch black color with thin soapy light brown head and poor lacing. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate, following is coffeeish and grainy, mouthfeel is smooth, thick and warm, while finish is grassy bitter. Full body, thick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Double dream…

Can. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, roasted barley, dark malts, definitely doubling down. Full-bodied. Flavour is sweet, super malty, loads of caramel, intense dark chocolate, bitter. Definitely very intense, an amped up classical imperial stout.

Süß-herber, cremig malziger Beginn. Wenig alkoholisch, viel Kakao, vollmundig. Bitterschokolade, etwas holzig, cremig bleibend. Würzig malziger Mittelteil und Abgang, erhöhte Viskosität, langer Nachhall. 10/12/11/13/9/12

Tap@Fuerst Wiacek TTO, Taphouse (12/05/2022) - Fuerst TTO - Big opulent silky chocolate prominence here, some coffee roast, ashy charred malt, full body, lingering malty finish. Lovely.
