Tap at MBCC, day two. Nose is toffee, light roasted malts, earthy and chocolatey, nuts. Taste is slightly sweet upfront, malty, bready, toasty, then it shows just a moderate amount if roasted malty character to round things out. The carbonation is fine, natural, the body is light to medium. Now this is incredibly balanced, I really can’t pinpoint any aspects it’s lacking, apart from I could’ve done with some more malty sweetness. Remarkably well done.

Tap MBCC 2022 Red Session. Poured almost black with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is smoky roast malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, smoky, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An old skool dark lager.
