Bottle. Pour is a nice hazy orange/gold color with a good white head that leaves substantial lacing around the glass. Aroma is of grassy hops and citrus notes. Taste is bitter resinous hops with barely anything else. Maybe some pale malt, maybe some grapefruit. Nonetheless, this beer packs a full frontal smackin’!

Cloudy golden coloured body with a thick, two centimetre tall pitch white head with even more of a chewy, witty look - very nice. Aroma of super pungent and potent grassy, herbal, resinous and grapefruity hops, and not much else, aside from maybe a bit of candy sugar. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a big floral and grassy hop kick with a relatively short grapefruit kick, given the tons of hops - but the balance is off somewhat with not much malt showing through at all. Aftertaste is nice, but simple, with just the resinous and grassy hops coming through and nothing else - no malt, no alcohol and no sugar, just hop bitterness, which is nice, just simple. Overall, a very nice and intensely hopped IPA, but the complexity doesn’t ever start and the other flavours are no where to be found. Definitely worth trying if you can get it and like IPAs, but sadly still doesn’t compare to West Coast IPAs. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Ridgeview Liqour in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 29-July-2012 for US$1.89 sampled at home in Washington on 04-September-2012 a few hours before leaving again for Milwaukee.

Thanks to GhostFace for this one. 12oz bottle pours a nice hop hazed deep gold with copper hues and semi loose white head of foam. The aroma has a nice grapefruit hoppy goodness with some lime peel and hop resin creating added depth as well as faint malts in the background. Yum, the taste is full of grapefruit and some tangelo citrus hop flavor notes and then moving into more and more citrus hop bitterness. I’m really liking this. Rich bitter delicious. Nice one!

12oz bottle. Unfiltered orange-tan. Big soapy, steady head. Dry, bitter, resinous hop aroma...something a little bit off in there too, factory metal-plastic sweetness. I’ve had this beer numerous times on tap. even on nitro. Never realized it was only 7%. it doesn’t really come off so big I suppose, but there is some intense bitterness, It’s sort of one-dimensional though, mostly soapy dryness. Doesn’t really come together all the way, sort of bold up front but just fades on you. Still pretty enjoyable, and those hop tones do come out the more you sip on it..

A hazed blonde IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice herbaceous malt with floral hops, catnip notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice challenging IPA with catnip hops, resinous, menthol coolness, very nice. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 21 2012.
