Bottle picked up from Globus, Getränkemark, Plattling and consumed at home Wednesday 14th December 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music we had Lax Pudding with Brussels Sprouts and Carrots. Pours hazy amber with an off white head that rapidly disappeared, a touch thin and watery, but there are the usual wheat characteristics, it's okay but after the previous beer it's definitely a come down.

Dunkler, etwas cremiger Beginn, herb, weich hefig-süß. Mild nach Schokolade, weiche Bitterkeit, rund. 10/9/10/9/5/9

Bottle. Deep golden color. Yeasty herbal aroma with orange. Wheaty sweet flavor with banana, orange and cheap Liebfraumilch. Pear.

Gilt als absoluter Geheimtipp unter Weißbierkennern. Allerdings nur im Deggendorfer Raum zu bekommen. Die Rezeptur stammt von Fips Friedrich, dem ehemaligen Pächter des Bayer Bräu in Deggendorf. Hat es offenbar kurzzeitig mal alleine versucht, lässt sein Weizen aber schon seit 2001 bei Arcobräu in Moos fertigen. Ich hab jetzt ein nahezu identisches Ergebnis wie beim fantastischen Bayer Weizen erwartet - wurde aber enttäuscht. Das ganze fällt nicht ganz so rund und ausgewogen aus wie bei Bayer. Im Hintergrund fällt eine säuerliche Note auf, die mich leicht an Balsamico erinnert. Dann kommt das malzige durch. Vielleicht auch etwas weniger hefig wie Bayer. Schon irgendwo nicht schlecht. Hat nen ganz eigenen und absolut typischen Geschmack (das muss man wirklich sagen). Ich kann damit aber nicht allzu viel anfangen. Nachtrag: Hab das Bier letztens wirklich eiskalt (ca. 2 - 4 Grad) getrunken. Normalerweise verlieren hier die meisten Biere, das Fips-Weizen gewinnt aber deutlich dazu. In dem Temperaturbereich genossen haben die meisten anderen Weißbiere deutlich weniger zu bieten. Das Fips ist jetzt richtig schön süffig. Die säuerliche Note macht es extrem erfrischend und hat echt Pfiff. Was vorher als störend empfunden wurde ist nun absolut stimmig und gibt erst den richtigen Kick. So macht das Spaß. An heißen Tagen macht man sich dann nur allzu gerne noch eine zweite oder dritte Halbe auf.

Hazy yellow with a less than impressive white head. The usual hefe flavours. Banana clove. Quite sweet.

Bottle. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is orange, fruit, wheat, banana. Flavour is orange, caramel, fruit, wheat, banana, cloves. medium body. OK beer.

Bottle 500ml.Unclear - hazy light to medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, light caramel, moderate yeasty, phenol, yeast, light banana. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, fryuty, caramel, light clove - banana. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120217]

Bottle, 5.3%. Cloudy dark orange colour. Small white head. The flavour is a little sweet with some yeast. Not so spicy, but not unpleasant either.
