Fremont Brewing began as a dream in 2008. Years later, our dream has come true in each and every one of you, our craft beer family. And like every family, we have had our ups and our downs, but we keep coming back together knowing we are stronger together. In your hands is a special nod to you, a gift for now that will continue to give many years from now should you have the patience to wait…Brew 6000. This English-style barleywine ale uses floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and is aged in 10-15 year-old, single use bourbon barrels for 16 months to bring you a complex and subtle craft beer flavor experience. We brewed this to celebrate brewing our 6000th brew, and we look forward to sharing it with you, our craft beer family. “Barleywine Is Life.” – VWP

Bottle pour from Valley Beverage. Dark, cola brown, thin cap of head and trace lacing. Aroma is caramel, vanilla, oak, bourbon, toffee, brown sugar, mild dark fruit. Taste is strong caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, oak, bourbon. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol. Good nice balance and complexity. Very nice!

22 oz bottle shared by tfontana. Aroma is English toffee, prune, plum. Flavor is the same as aroma. Booze is pretty hidden. Real rich in layers of malt. Really sweet. Not sure how long this should be held. Bold richness.

660mL bottle shared by tfontana, drunk 3/15/25.
Clear mahogany. Butter-beige head, slowly to spotty cover.
That's Bourbon. Big and hard with light chocolate. Crystal malt, sweet and rich with juicy bourbon and vanilla.
Sweet, juicy rich and fruity with heavy raisin and vanilla. Soft and chewy body with caramel, vanilla and such.a bit sweet, though.
