BARREL-AGED PRESS PLAY, a collaboration with Voodoo Brewery. The last time we released this one was in our 12oz bottles! It’ll be in the bigger format this time around. This Imperial Rye Stout with Cocoa Nibs, Hazelnut, & Vanilla was Aged in Four Roses Bourbon Barrels for almost 18 months. Charred marshmallow aromatics delve into a pool of sweet hand-roasted Hazelnuts for the first few nips. As this beer opens & warms up, it transforms into brownie batter with a slow barrel heat. The ABV is a little higher this time around, clocking in at 15.2%. While we have been focusing on letting the barrels shine lately, we are really excited with how these adjuncts play with the oak, & we can't wait for you to try this.

Pour at Snallygaster 2025. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a wispy brown head. Big, and barrel is really expressive in this one. Bourbon, vanilla, wood. Roast, but not overly deep and roasted. Chocolate. 2025 variant, in case that's ever needed.

Bottle at wee vault. Pours black, nose is blackberry, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, pepper, taste is similar, sweet, mellow bourbon, hazelnut in the finish.

Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with wood barrel aroma - Dark malt body with wood barrel flavours with some nutty notes - Dark malt with wood barrel, some chocolate and nuts and some bitterness in the back - Dark malt flavours goes into the finish - This was real good

Tap @MBCC2022, Yellow Session. Oily black, no head. Rich malty aroma, coffee, vanilla, bourbon. Sweet flavour, malt, choc, bourbon and some vanilla. Syrupy, sticky.

ABV: 11.8%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, cocoa, wood - barrel, dried fruit - dark fruit, cake - bourbon, bourbon - vanilla, hazelnut. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, wood - barrel, dark fruit - dried fruit, roasted, chocolate, cocoa, bourbon, bourbon - vanilla, hazelnut. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20220513]

Draught, taster. @MBCC 2022, Copenhagen (Denmark). 13/05/2022 [#4.933 Global - #672 United States of America - #1 Mikerphone Brewing (My Brewery #221 from the States)] Pours black with a beige head. Aroma: Cocoa nibs, bourbon barrels and hazelnuts. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel with a fair vanilla and hazelnut drop. Four rouses is always a winner. Next one please!

Tap@MBCC 2022, Copenhagen (13/05/2022) - roasted sweet malty with chocolate and nutty accents, some toffee and caramel sweetness, bourbon,full bodied, roasted and sweet malty close. Lovely.
