Bottle thanks to Hannes and Sylvia. Brown with a frothy, light beige head. Aroma is traditional for the style - caramel, ash, faintly nutty. Taste is mildly sweet up front with sour undertones at the finish. Body to the light side of medium, moderate carbonation. Drunk on the 25th anniversary of Proposal Day, in Burwinkel. Not bad.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Black/golden label. Nearly black in the glass, only reddish edges, with a more than one finger beige head. Looks really good. Smooth but intensive roasted malt and choco on the nose. Taste starts with roasted malt, nuts and caramel. Mid bitterness. Low carbonated. Nice one!

Bottle at home. Looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Fine roasty malty aroma. Starts mild but not washy, fine roasty malty, shy caramel hints. Spicy-herbal background. Mild sweetness. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice one!

Bottle. dark brown color. Malt, caramel and a hint of cardboard in the aroma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor with soft vegetable notes. Disappointing.

(bottle) Dark brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Dark malty, delicately roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, mocha, traces of molasses and a whiff of herbal hoppy spice. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasted malty taste with notes of chocolate, almonds/marzipan and shades of sugar beet; moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter finish with a delicately herbal hoppy touch in the background. Solid and well-crafted brew. 01.III.17

0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’ as ’Willinger Dunkel’, best before June 2017. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, very dense and foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty-malty of chocolate, coffee, caramel and nuts. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty taste of coffee, chocolate, nuts and caramel, followed by a short, slightly roasty-bitter, a little dry finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

Lahev: Amber coloured, hazy, bigger persistent, creamy and lacy, tanned head, mild to moderate - more dry than sweet - toasty and caramelly nose, presumably some berries and some nuts underneath; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, pretty soft; slightly lingering dryish bitter-toasty finish with caramelly and even ashy traces. Well made kind of bottom-fermented Porter...
