Magus, suitsune, turbane, nisune, linnaseline, karamelline, veits happeline, joodine, kuiv, alksine. Väga hea, väga huvitav heas mõttes.

Dark amber with a foamy head of modest duration. Intense peat aroma with smoke on top. On further reflection, there’s a soft apple-pear undertone. Taste is bitter, full of oak and and smoke and bit of booze, and overall has a fairly raw and aggressive tone, particularly at the finish, which is an intense dose peat bitterness and booze. Medium to full bodied, mild carbonation. Very interesting. Certainly doesn’t feel anything like a traditional Weizenbock. Not for everyday drinking, but still quite pleasant if in the mood for a fairly intense experience.

Can shared by Johnny. Light orange color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, raisins, sweetness and loads and loads of peat. Typical Islay BA beer. Alright but you've got to love it.

19/VIII/22 - 33cl can @ build-up Gents Bierfestival, BB: n/a (2022-1026) Thanks to Roman for sharing the can!

Little cloudy light brown beer, no head. Aroma: oh my, so very peated, very intense, way too smoky, all peat, nothing else really. MF: little bit of carbon, medium body. Taste: very peated, sweet and sugary, alcohol, more peat bitterness, meh, too intense, too smoky, too peated. Aftertaste: nothing but peated whisky, a bit oxidized, then a little bit of dried fruits coming through, bitter, smoky, raisins, some caramel.

330ml can. Cloudy, dark copper colour with average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, off-white head. Mild, peaty aroma, hints of peat, leather, TCP, widely disguised, minimally fruity background. Taste is peaty, sweet-ish, alcoholic, slightly fruity and minimally chocolately, notes of peat, some TCP, baked banana; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, water texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Relatively mild, nevertheless predominating BA flavours, accordingly not much Weizenbock character, almost a bit monotonous therefore. Definitely [e]en spannende combinatie, but widely disharmonious and heterogeneous - lower score due to the fact that this combination's excitement traces back to the ready-made Islay barrels rather than to Brewer's skills.

Canned 330ml. -Courtesy of hrabren, shared with him & Marko, thanks! Unclear amberish coloured, small off-white head, heavy peat in the nose. Sweet malty, nutty, light caramel, heavy peat, notes of peanut butter and some alcohol with again peat in the finish.

Huge thanks Pete for sharing this can with Hrabren, and then thanks H for sharing this with Ogi and me. Muddy brown body, almost no head. huge, ginormous peat wick aroma. Creamy taste, weird, peanuts and peat and actaully pleasant - very weird, warming, vague cramelly notes, wheat malts. Pretty much no esters, huh. Alcohols grows, this gets very warming, feeling a bit more than 10% at some point. I like it, but the base is questionable.

0.33 l can, huge thanks to Pit Vik. Shared with Marko and Ogi. Hazy darker golden, minimal head. Nice peat smokiness up first. Citrus, toasted bread, peanuts. Nice peated smokiness develops. Taking over. Alcohol. Smokey phenolic. Medium body, sharp smoked malt flavour, roasted peanuts, slightly oily, fruity, dried fruit, earl gray. Strong, lasting finish. Moderate carbonation.
