Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Ordered from France?

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20B). Bottle 35 cl (Batch unknown - BBF unknown). AROMA: medium roasted malt aroma with notes of roasted coffee beans. low dried-plums and faint oxidized hops. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque with slight ruby highlights. medium light brown head with medium retention. TASTE: medium roasted malt flavor with slight coffee and dark chocolate. faint oxidized hops (dried grass). medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and slightly roasted finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an ok american stout.

Creamy tan head stayed on a rich dark brown body. Malt, demerara, parkin & Christmas cake aroma. Medium to full bodied, silky & smooth on the palate with a tingly clean back. Sweet tasting with malt, liquorice, raisin & milk chocolate with slightly burnt roasted finishing.

Bottle: Literally black coloured, big rocky and firm off-white head, moderate bitter-sweet nose of roasted malt and dried fruits with traces of vanilla and molasses; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with that certain, well hidden acidity, relatively light bodied for a beer of 5.6%, but surely creamy; lingering dry bitter-sourish finish with a coffee and roasted malt. Good, but one is enough...
