Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, orange and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 12oz. A clear, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head. The aroma is grassy and piney, with a generic fruityness and some malts. It’s quite bitter in the mouth, full-bodied and dry, with a decent carbonation level. A tad too sweetish though, and with some bready, almost caramel-like notes. Bitter and lightly fruity finish. Well, it’s a decent brew, but it doesn’t impress in any way, actually it’s rather uninteresting and not a beer I’d like to have again. 130805

Bottle - Grapefruit, resin and a nice citrus sweetness. Clear pale gold with a bubbly head. Bright grapefruit and a huge bitterness that fades quickly. Finish is surprisingly clean. A bit perfumy at the end, but a great beer.

Bottle. Deep golden body with a short, fizzy, white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of raw grain, citrus, resin, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Herbal, leafy hop taste with sweet malt backbone that’s a bit grainy, unclean. Citrus notes.

I love a simple, balanced, and clean IPA, and it is surprising how many IPAs do not pull that off - not this one, though - simple, clean, smooth pale maltiness provide a nice base for assertive but balanced citric hop flavors - nice carbonation level - crisp, dry, spicy finish - if it were at the same price point as Hop Notch and Marble IPA, it would go into my regular IPA rotation.
