Belgijski Witbier, nazywany często „Bière blanche”, to jasne, lekkie piwo pszeniczne, oparte w znacznej części na niesłodowanej pszenicy (często w formie płatków), warzone z dodatkiem przypraw – Kolendy indyjskiej, oraz skórek słodkiej i gorzkiej pomarańczy. Często o nieco kwaskowatym finiszu. My przedstawiamy ten styl w zimowej, pełniejszej odsłonie. Wszystkich składników dodaliśmy więcej, przez co piwo ma bogaty, słodowy smak, a bogactwo aromatów zapewniają odpowiednio dobrane przyprawy i szczep drożdży.

Draught @ Dudes, Copenhagen. Pours dark brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, wheat, yeast, caramel, some sweet fruit. Flavor is sweet, malty, light dusty, wheat, yeast, little fruit, alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 100518

Hazy yellow colour with thin, lacy head. The aroma starts with lemon zest and later becomes sweet and floral. Flavour has a light spice and again lots of floral notes. Generally nice but the toilet freshener taste in the background is a bit of a shame.
