A Gold Medal winner in both the 2019 and 2020 GABF in Wood and Barrel-Aged categories, Amburana Dream is an imperial porter aged on Amburana wood, a hardwood tree with aromatic bark that grows in the desert areas of Brazil. A limited supply of this elusive wood was gifted to our brewers by Sandro Duarte, brewmaster at Cervejeria Backer in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The wood aging process lends a delightful melange of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. No additional spices are used in order to let the unrivaled complexity and depth of the Amburana shine through.
