Spontaneously fermented and terroir-driven black currant mead made with short macerated Ben Tron black currants.
No added yeast (solely fermented from the yeast and bacteria naturally present on the black currants and in the honey).
A very bright, but also complex expression of black currants due to the spontaneous fermentation. Revealing new flavors at every sip.

Really sweet, fruity, a bit tart, fairly boozy. Nice blackcurrant, honey, alcohol warmth, some florals/herbals in the finish. Lacks the fruit intensity of some of the best ones, but quite tasty anyway, good stuff.

Light bright red, viscous. Smells fairly tart, loads of black currants, definitely a bit on the wild side. Great thickness. Taste has some lovely sweetness and a light tartness from the currants. Lots of fruit, real intense, maybe just a tad too sweet?
