Can from Beer52. Pours black with small beige head which surprised me as I thought it was going to be a white stout with the name! Very roasty aroma with coffee, sweet vanilla and lactose. I was worried from the aroma it might be too sweet but that's far from the case. It has a lovely malt depth of caramel, roast, chocolate and particularly biscuit with a sweet but semi-dry finish. Slick mouthfeel. Very good.

18/11/2023. Can from Beer52. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy tan coloured head. Good pour. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, dried fruit, ash, chocolate, hint of rum truffle. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily, average to soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

33cl can via Beer52: BB 1st September 2023. Drank at home on 22nd March 2023, my last beer of the evening. Tanned head that faded swiftly on a black body. Grains, malts and coffee in the nose, roasted coffee and some chocolate in the flavour. Almost slick nature to the body and overall a bit sweet to taste.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours almost black with a substantial beige head. The aroma is primarily roast malts, but with a strong coffee influence. In the mouth it is smooth and creamy, with coffee grounds to the fore. After a while some chocolate and hints of caramel come through. Finish is sweet but with some bitter hints. This is very nice – hides its strength well.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a fading chocoalte coloured head; rich chocolate and coffee aroma; smooth lactic body with a sweet coffee taste; and a rather sugary finish. Sweeter than I'd hoped it would be.

33cl Blik van Two Chefs webshop. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Flink gebrande koffie, chocolade, koffie met melk, caramel, smaak is vrij zoet maar tevens fors gebrand zonder uit de bocht te schieten, romig, bitterzoet. Medium body, zacht mondgevoel. Goed gelukt.

Tight light brown head on dark brown body. Burnt, malt, cigarette & peppery aroma. Medium bodied, smooth, silky & cloying. Malt, coffee, lactose & demerara tastes with a tangy fruity finish. That's good.
