Pistachio Brown Ale is a cranked-up beer where we worked with pistachio almonds in the fermentation. The basis is an Imperial Brown Ale, where we let extreme amounts of malt create a very big beer. Low bitterness and high sweetness give a round and large body that is complemented by a pistachio almond tone.

In our Experimental series, we release beers that have been created through a joyful innovation, where we use new methods and ingredients to create inspiring beer experiences. What you see is not always what you get.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Ugly opaque thick brown things, with no head. Aroma is lots of pistachio and some mild alcohol. Flavour is nutty, some alcohol, mild metallic tones with some wood.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Muddy viscous dirt brown, no head - one of the ugliest beers on record. Aroma of pistacchio and bitter almond. Very sweet with full body and clean, blown up mouthfeel. Like all Poppels flavoured beers it is so one dimensional that it would make a line seem like an area. Totally overrun by pistacchios and bitteralmonds. Finishes with almondy bitterness and boozy alcohol.
