Our head brewer, Mat has a passion for Belgian style beers and One in Five Thousand is a complex and slightly spiced variation on the traditional Belgian quad style. This beer was initially brewed for our barrel project, however whilst tasting the base beer, we enjoyed it so much that we're giving you the opportunity to try a small amount pre-barrel. This full bodied quad fills the mouth with flavours of toffee, dried fruits, plums and warms the very cockles of your heart. The name and artwork are reference to the fact that only one in five thousand clovers have four 'quad' leaves.

Draft at Blind Tiger Peterborough. Mahogany colour with no real head. Aroma and taste are dried fruit and caramel. Sweet to light bitter. Hints of spice. Full rich body.

Florals and ripe plums, apricot, and tangerine. Raisins and prunes, kind of a candied vibe here--plum jam kind of like. Very sweet. Copper pour with great head and lacing. Tap at Cerveteca.
