Named after the Greek hero Perseus for the constellation pattern on his back, Percy, the spotted turtle, serves as one of the Center for Wildlife’s animal ambassadors. He reminds us of the importance of preserving wetlands and vernal pools that are home to turtles and a diverse range of interconnected species.

Hopped with Grüngeist hops, and featuring local Maine malted grains, this lager represents a shift from our classic ale lineup, with a nod to our hop-forward focus.

Flavor Profile: Aromas of lemon, lime, fresh cut grass, and bread crust. Subtle notes of sulfur with underlying floral aroma.

Hops: Hallertaüer Mittlefrüh, Grüngeist

Malt: Bohemian Pilsner, Carapils, Blue Ox Light Munich, Blue Ox Vienna

Pils-ish, but with lots of floral and peppery noble hop character. Crisp cracker malt, moving towards Helles a bit(?) big crisp boo would be a good beach beer with a lobster and a lot of drawn butter

Pours clear gold into a stein. Bright white head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Cracked malt and hay aromas. Medium bodied with citrus and hay upfront turning to earthy wet grass in the medium length finish.

16oz at the brewery, pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head.  Nose is true to the style, corn, malt, peanut, grass, yeast.  Flavor has grist and grain, lemon, soap, peanut skins, yeast.  Finishes tight, crisp, dry.  7 4 7 5 14
