On tap at DOK brewing Gent. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. pineapple some resin. moderate bitterness. some passionfruit. pineapple but without bring a NEIPA. yep pretty good. not quite my fruit profile but definitely tasty. bit too harsh maybe carbonation and finishing hop combined. perhaps palate has been too softened up.

28 August 2022. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!

Hazy bright ochre, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of unripe peach, mango, lime zest, grapefruit peel, tangerine, lychee, spring onion. Taste has sweetish peach & mango, sourish citrus zest over a bready, cracker-like malt body with a spicy onion note. Floral & piney hoppy finish offering dry & bitter citrus pith & stonefruit and gentle lychee. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Pretty good and assertive.

Freewheeling hoppy blonde of sorts and a hop-forward one, with Simcoe cryo hops. Snow white, thick and frothy, foamy, stable head, hazy pale apricot blonde robe with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of dried wormwood and other bitter weeds, green mango, dry cereals, pineapple candy, ice pop (hence the name I suppose), orange zest, kumquat. Crisp onset, lively carbonated but not too stingy, sweetish in a clean, smooth way, hints of kumquat, melon and halfripe banana; supple, bit oily mouthfeel, cereally and slightly cracker-like malts with grainy edges. Quite expressive, elegant hoppiness, zesty and peppery, with a wormwoody bitterness and citrusy aroma to it, even hinting at guava, sugared pineapple juice and orange blossom for a moment. Simcoe at its brightest in spite of having been given the cryo treatment - this is ironically closer to a New World IPA (in the most generic sense) than their Happy Single, a beer released at about the same time which is actually intended as an IPA... Bit perfumey, but elegant and very easily drinkable, with a lovely leafy bitterness for balance - I like this one.
