Can: pours light orange with white head. Nose is pumpkin spice, marshmallow, little funk. Taste is fairly complex. Lightly sour, not overly sweet. Pumpkin spice is a supporting actor rather than a showstopping lead. I was surprised how quickly and easily I drank this given my low expectations.

Shared with the boys at BBT 11/2021. Med-thin body, high carbonation. Candyish sweetish impression. Medium sourness, clean lacto, combines with the spices, and the marshmallow to create a cute little kerfuffle. Not very beery, but good balance of the flavourings, tasty, drinkable, good.

Rating #9100! Fairly hazy deep amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, relatively fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of tart, slightly soured funk with a lot of squash, coriander seed, allspice, canella and cloves all here with some lactobilly and bretty notes with some wheat as well, but the complexity just in the nose is strong. Medium-bodied; Quite strong spiciness up front with the allspice, nutmeg, coriander seed and canella all here with some funky bretty yeastie notes and a bit of spontaneous fermentation, but the squash still shows strong at the end with a lot of richness here, but a light dose of sweetness from caramelised sugars to temper the pungency. Aftertaste shows the spice, soured, tart and funky components with nice layers of sweetness and malts here which make this even more complex and elegant here, but of course the spice and especially the squash notes remain strong. Overall, a good beer for a special occasion with how complex this one is, especially for being a squash-based beer and naturally being from Prairie to make the yeast and tartness evident throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Papillion (Omaha), Nebraska on 26-August-2021 for US$4,99 and canned on 12-August-2021 and sampled at my house as Rating #9100 on 15-November-2021.
