Aromas of hay and grass, quite sweetish and quaffable. Easy to drink but nothing really to recommend.

Bottled 500ml (MBS, BB 10/2012)
Pale yellow color, decent white head. Sweetish, almost fruity malty aroma. Light to medium-bodied, crisp carbonation. Sweetish, malty, low bitterness. Lingering maltyness in the aftertaste. Nice balanced malt profile and clean, good palate even for 4.9% lager. Of course Helles is not the most interesting beer style, but this is a good example of it.

Bottle from mein-biershop.de. Poured clear golden color with an almost creamy looking white head. Aroma is weak sweet malt and grass. Flavor similar, slightly sweet malt and some herbal notes. A clean and fresh beer, very refreshing, could easily drink litres of this beer.

aka Vollbier. Gold and sparkly with a thick head. Slightly herbal accented aroma with a light breadyness. A little bit fizzy, but has a pleasing pale malt character with a herbal dryness. Almost pils-like, if it wasn’t for the kiss of pale malt late.

Bottled@Fonefan. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite grainy and grassy along with some bready malts. Flavour is saltwater, cardboard, some grass and grains. Also some rather sweetish notes of something I can’t exactly put my finger on.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet strawy malty and slightly sour doughy nose. Moderately sweet flavour, strawy malt-character with a soft mouthfeel; unexciting, slightly sweet finish. Clean and typical, but also pretty boring Helles (19.07.08).
