Collaboration beer between Kissmeyer Beers (Denmark) and Braserie Dunham.

Christmas Saison brewed with a bit of maple syrup and pomegranate, gently spiced, fermented with farmhouse yeast and brettanomyces. Available only in bottled condition 750ml bottles and on tap.

Oh, and by the way! Why Broderus? Because this beer was test brewed with Anders Kissmeyer on the 6th of october 2011 and finally re-brewed this year on the 6th of october! This day being the day of Broderus, an old viking king, in Denmark...means The Second Coming of Broderus!

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy amber color with large frothy head, persistent. Nice fruity aroma, definitively pomegranate, very flowery, and some yeast spices. Smooth mouthfeel, highly carbonated, rather dry; it combines in a perfect way the spices from the yeast and the fruit, and it has a reasonable bitterness level; some more sugar in the final.
Excellent.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out maple syrup, Belgian yeast, and a little caramel. Flavour somehow succeeds in incorporating the maple syrup into this saison -- the maple syrup sweetness starts up and ends up finishing on bitter, yeasty notes. Extremely well-balanced, finishing with low residual sweetness. Great stuff.

Awesome. Can’t even taste everything in the list of ingredients but this is wonderful. Prominent pepper with some Brett and nice Belgian yeast. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Finishes a bit sour and a little astringent. Everything well balanced here. Thanks to Slovaksniper.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dark amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spicy notes with fruity undertones and medium Brett presence can be detected. Taste is complex mix between some dry and funky Brett notes with some peppery yeast undertones and some citrus/fruity notes also discernable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Complex beer with quite a few different flavours profile with some ingredient shining more then others.

Bouteille 750ml.

A hazed dark amber saison with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light Brett, catnip hops, delicious and well made. In mouth, a nice smooth fruity malt with smooth Brett, grassy hops, superb. On tap at La Souche, Dec. 22 2012 2012.
