Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized foamy white off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some tartness, caramel, wood and random berries. Flavour is pretty much following the pattern of the aroma, but has a slight acidity to it.

Bottle. Pours a very dark ruby red, almost no head. Aroma is already weird - lots of oak, balsamic vinegar, slight savoury notes. Definite red wine notes as well. Medium body. Flavour is quite sour, vinegary and savoury. Dry and sour red wine notes, lots of oak. Berries and fruit, tart. A savoury Flemish red sour from alvinne, burgundy barrel is not my favourite choice. Interesting though and tends to improve massively as it gets warmer.

Bottle from Hopduvel; new label 'Oak Aged - Dark Sour Ale'. Hazy dark brown, stable, frothy, tan head. Aroma of sour plum, red grape, brambleberries, blueberries, toast & jam, oak, cherry tomato. Taste has very sour bramble- & blueberries, plum peel and some grape, bit wheaty in a sour-creamy malt body with lemon & lactic acid notes. Very tart finish, no hops, lingering sour berry juice, jam, bretty & woody tannins, yet even slightly roasted bitter in the very end. Hidden alcohol, but vinous. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Excellent 'hybrid' of sorts.

330mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with dark fruits, raspberries, lots of red wine barrels, and some oakiness. Flavour is quite intense, with very tart, deep raspberries, dark red fruits, alcohol, some balsamic, and red wine oak barrels. There's some residual sweetness that is overtaken by the sourness. Really nice tart raspberries. Excellent.

Bottle from Etre. Hazy dark brown with a small tan head that I had to coax out with a vigorous pour. Jammy chocolate with hints of alcohol on the nose. Tart cherry and light lemon flavor with a hint of funk to round this out.
