At the brewery restaurant, I'd guess bottle but who knows. Murky brown body, streams of lazy carbonation, lasting beige head. Pleasant aroma, soft, dried fruit and some peach esters, hazelnut, caramel. Lean, dryish, caramelly taste, dried apricots, nutty, ending citric, dry, but not really astringent.

Bottle picked up from brewery at Regen, sat in Frank at Klein Camping Aberblick, Reichertsried Bavarian National Park Thursday 13th October 2022. Pours hazy mid brown with an off white head. Soft moutheel, a little fruity, sort of plum skins but sweetened, perhaps there is a little banana. Quite good.

Bottle. Brown color. Caramel, butter and pear drups in the aroma. Sour milky flavor with toffee notes and pear drups. Infection? Not the dunkel weizen I’d expect.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes braunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, röstmalzig, leicht fruchtig würzig. Geschmack hefig, leicht würzig, leicht fruchtig.

Bottle: Hazy, deep ruby- amber coloured, big and stable off-white creamy head, sourish-fruity nose with - possibly - traces of infection, some caramelly wheat underneath; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied; tart caramelly-sourish finish. Not really bad, but hardly convincing...

500ml bottle. Cloudy dark brownish amber with huge frothy tan head. Wheaty and yeasty aroma, a touch of roasted malt, a citrus note. Taste is fresh citrussy, but with a flat malty undertone.

(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a beige-brown tall foamy head. Berry-fruity and moderately yeasty aroma with present and slightly sourish wheaty notes, only traces of dark malt. Quite sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Wheaty and fruity taste with notes of red berries; delicate notes of dark malt and traces of caramel show up towards the moderately sour finish. 13.IV.12
