Bottle from the 'Meerts' box, from Hopduvel. Hazy yellow, thinning, off-white head. Aroma of sour grape, vinegar, white wine, wood, cheese, unripe plum, hay. Taste has lots of sour grape, plum, stone fruit & green apple over a soft sourdough-like malt base with (lactic) cheesy & some funky vinegar aspects, but very much retaining a fruity profile. Ends tart with tannic wood, funky sour grapes, a hint of stone fruit pit, blended together in a full white wine impression (without the alcohol, that is). Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Beautifully structured, and so pleasant to drink.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of Tilquin funk with notes of wood and golden fruit. Dry and tart fruity flavour with white grapes and citrus.

First pour is a clear, pale blond colour with a light carbonation. Initial pickled onion aroma fades quickly. Then it's tart and woody. Lemon, white wine, oak. The wine element is clear with a fruity acidity and a yeasty dryness.

Vintage 2020/2021. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells funky, vinous, riesling, earthy, lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes vinous, funky, salty, stone fruits, earthy. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of vinous notes, stone fruits and funky notes. very good one, lovely funky notes. rather funky and salty as the other Meerts, lovely overall.

Bottle. Crystal clear golden. Deep mineral funk, old cellar, soft spicy grapes. It really has Riesling going on, but quite subtle, the funk and lemon meerts notes are much stronger. Maybe some apple. Solid medium sour, lighter sweet. Soft carbonation.

375ml. bottle. @Lar Xabarín, 25/12/2022 [#5.738 Global - #253 Belgium - #15 Gueuzerie Tilquin] Pours yellow with no head. Aroma: grape skin, yeast and horse blanket. Taste: sour grapes and yeast. Yeasty sour finish. Next one please!

Bottle. Picked up at a pop up shop thing across from Cantillon. Poured the lot and got a hazed dark straw. No head. Tripe instant acid according to the missus. She’s said the same about the others we’ve had. She’s got a point. It’s grapy and clean. Minimum amount of funk as you might expect. I much prefer the real thing.
