Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet wiith notes of straw, alcohol, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

This unfiltered kellerbier pours a nice copper color with thick, creamy head. Smooth, almost oily, in the mouth, with just a hint of bitterness. Flavorful, but no lingering aftertaste...very easy to drink. Lower alcohol content means you can enjoy a few. A pretty decent example of this style, but probably not the best from the venerable beer heaven of Bamberg.

Bottle looks good, beer in the glass also. Fine turbid, nice head. Starts yeasty and dry, modest fruity, fine malty. Not too hoppy. Finish gets drier, almost a bit moldy, too yeasty. Starts good, but finish should be more complex and less dry.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear one, some microfloaties though, and a small, beige head. A bit unpleasant aroma, herbal, cellary and grainy. The flavor is mostly fruity, some caramel hints and a touch of biscuits. A bit bitterness towards the end. Medium body and smooth carbonation. A beer that drinks easy, but it’s too boring. 110415
