A cervoise with a strong local flavor. Beer with orange reflections where the hops are replaced by gentian, barley and wheat malt. Based on ale for sweetness and gentian for bitterness, this original beer is recommended as an aperitif.

Fleeting whitish head over clear metallic, pale-copper beer. Smoked, but also some raw vegetable tubers, as cabbage, kohlrabi or beets - no doubt the gentiana; earthy-vegetable. Sweetish-malty, again the gentian suggesting smoked. The veggie/tuber aroma penentrates into every new sip, even though the taste doesn’t really carry it. Bit strawlike, drier finish. Very spritzy, near fizzy, despite no visual proof hereof. Light body, feels oversaturated. Interesting, but rather no repeat, thanks. Leave the gentianaroot for Italian liqueurs, maybe? Thanks to Stef!

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Light amber coloured beer, little white head. Dry palate. Dry pale malt. Some dried fruits but overall dry and papery. Don’t think I’ve had a worse French micro beer. Very disappointing.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. Pours bright gold with some sediment and a fine, white foam head. Some chili and smoke in the nose. Light sweet flavor, mild caramel, peppery smoke, faint dry leaves. Light in body with prickly carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with a bit of caramel, toasty sugars and capsicum (without the heat). Interesting one.
