Kräftig dunkelbraun mit zartem Karamellgeschmack. Weich im Trunk mit angenehm stolzem Dunkelmalzcharakter, wunderbar vollmundig. Unser Dunkles wird seit über 400 Jahren nach alter Überlieferung gebraut. Das Bier aus der Guten Alten Zeit.

Slightly unclear with a big foamy head. Roasted breadcrumbs, dark bread, slightly metallic, roasted malt, caramel, lemon zest, grassy hops, earthy. Hoppy roasty zesty bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty hoppy malty bittersweet finish. Wow that is a great Dunkles!

Clear deep amber brown beer, tidy bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, a very mild dryness, modest fine carbonation. Light bodied malts, a thin chocolate biscuit thing, barely there. Very mild treacle and very mild plummy fruits. Airy smooth finish leaves a sweetish malty linger. Fine but, I want a dunkel to be a little more assertive than this.

From tap at Bajor Sörház Budapest – Bavarian Beer House Budapest, 13.07.25. Dark mahogany. Beige head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of medium dark malt, dries berries, and mellow hopa. Tasty.

Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Dunkel, Flasche von REWE Wolf, Biedenkopf. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrot, klar. - In der Nase kerniges Toast- und Dunkelmalz von sirupartiger Tiefe, aufgelockert mit spritziger Frucht (Kirschkonfitüre) und abgerundet mit gar nicht so knapper Hopfung. - Antrunk satt dunkelmalzig mit schöner malziger Tiefe, etwas Rübensirup, Trockenpflaume, Bitterschokolade, nur dezent süß und abgeschmeckt mit einem Touch fruchtiger Säure. Dezente aber ausreichende herbale Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent, vollmundig, ein wenig hart im Mund. Im Abgang fein dunkelmalzbitter und nur mild hopfenherb. - Solides, recht komplex malziges Dunkles, dem eine etwas großzügigere Hopfung mehr Tiefgang verleihen könnte. (3.3.2024.)
