Taste is slightly harsh sour-ish mineraly, dark malts, oak, grass, bark, mild vinegar, minerals, paper, dark fruits, licorice. Medium bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Interesting Norwegian take on the imperial stout theme with wheat and matured on aquavit barrels. Very thin beige head, all black colour. Complex aroma of raisins, coffee, walnuts, wheat, liquorice, wodka, minerals, red berries. Taste a deep maltiness with lots of sourish red berries and candied fruits, noticeable presence of sourish wheat, a very light kind of saltiness and roasted bitter finish.

Bottle, many thanks to OleR. Almost black colored beer with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, espresso, plum brandy and other dark fruits, alcohol. Taste, starts roasty with coffee, dark chocolate, followed with Akevitt and tartness. Alcohol is well present. Interesting and very tasty beer.

Bottle shared by Cuso. Imperium strikes back. High expectations set. Lets go. Aroma strong strong chocolate, fruity, roasted. Almost black colour, dark brown head. Taste is chocolate coffee with moderate herbal sourness mixing in. Controversial, the ageing in oak did not go well here IMO.
