Swingtop bottle 0,5ltr: Dark amber coloured brew with an easy drinkable smokey taste and noticed there are some caramel and chocolate hints there too.

“Hausbräu Stegaurach Rauchbier“, Flasche im Landgasthof Windfelder am See, Stegaurach. - Tiefdunkel, fast schwarz. - In der Nase süßes Karamel- und dunkles Malz, Lakritz aber kein Rauch, leichte ätherische Kräuter. - Antrunk satt dunkel- und röstmalzig mit deutlicher Süße, Bayrisch Blockmalz und feiner zitroniger Hopfennote. Eine schwarze Rauchnote ist präsent, aber gut in die Bonbonsüße eingebunden. Milder rezent, weich. Im Abgang süßes Zitronat, Lakritz und dezente Kräuterherbe. - Eigenwilliges, stark lakritzsüßes doch schmackhaftes Rauchbier oder eher Schwarzbier mit Rauch. (25.11.2019.)

Steinkrug in Windsfelder, Stegaurach. Smoked bacon and beechwood in the aroma. Dark chocolate and beechwood in the flavor. The smoke is well integrated and not aggresive.

Clear Amber with a medium off white head. Aroma had beechwood smoke, butter and roasted malt. Over the palate came light roasted malt, beechwood smoke and butter. Slightly off I'm afraid.

Klares kupferbraunes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch mild rauchig, reife Früchte, röstmalzig. Geschmack gering rauchig, röstmalzig, Kaffee, reife Früchte, im Abgang dann nochmals etwas rauchig.

(swing top bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Earthy dark malty aroma with notes of smoked malt in the background, reminding of thin sliced smoked ham, accompanied by hints of dark chocolate. Mildly bitter and sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly doughy dark malty taste with traces of caramel and a rising level of smokiness from the middle part; smoky malty and slightly sour doughy finish. Moreish smoke beer. 13.XI.12
