Made in collaboration with Manchester’s Cloudwater Brew Co, we’ve blended two styles of beer that we find are some of the most refreshing.
West Coast meet German Pils. A classic German Pilsner grist made up of pils malt, Haná and Chit makes for a delightfully light, crisp and sparkling base that thrives with a light dusting of Idaho 7 and Simcoe hops in the whirlpool. We fermented nice and slow with our house lager yeast, allowing each aspect of the beer to stand alone and shine.

440ml can. Golden with a slight haze, white head dissipating quickly. Hoppy aroma, citrus and tropical fruits, lemon. Taste of citrus fruits, lemon, lime, peaches and tropical fruits, bready malts, pine, grapefruit juice. That's a very nice and well-hopped Pils, almost an IPL at this point. Fantastic.

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Trondheim Torg. Stable rocky white head, spotty lacing, clear late straw coloured body. Quite inviting smell of cereal malts and dusty hops. Fine blended taste of grass, leaves, grain, and a touch of citrus. Rounded mild bitter ending. Drinks well. Likeable. (Hotel room, Trondheim 28.07.2022).

Light, malty, hoppy, a bit bitter. Citrus and pine needles, west coasty IPL. Nice and refreshing, goes great with tacos.

440ml Can - Golden with a white head. Peach, apricot and lychees in the aroma. Grapefruit, lychees, peach and passion fruit in the taste. Refreshing.

7-5-6-3-13 Can, ten weeks after canning. Pours straw yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is tropical hops with apricots, stone fruits and notes of grapes and litchi, as well as malts with cereals and honey. Medium body, with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is pilsner malts with bread and honey, as well as grassy hops with tropical stone fruits, mango and citrusy notes. Nice, well made, and without any obvious flaws. More west coast than pils though. Without the total hop domination often experienced in beers like this, but lacking the crisp, refreshing drinkability of a nice pilsner.

Cold beer on a crazy hot day is already worth 5*. Not really a pilsner anymore, but some sort of west coast IPL thing. Light, bitter, some floral hops but not very crisp. Would work better with more noble hops for me. Nicely refreshing though.

Keg at the Wagon & Horses, Stourbridge. Pours bright gold with a small head. Aroma is grassy jelly and lime. Taste is sweet and crisp grassy mango.
