Dark opaque black color, small off-white head. A bit ashy aroma with hints of licorice. Light bodied. Slightly ashy, tobacco, dark malts. Quite good, nice light porter, although not as good as their Porteroo.

Smell of ash, tar, chocolate. Very dark brown colour, high dark brown head. Aroma of tar, roasted malt, chocolate, also something citric to be noted. Finishes with coffee. Very bitter. Rich and well-bodied, especially considering the 4.2 ABV.

A black beer with a medium and a constant, beige head. The nose is strongly roasted, salt liquirice and some smoke, also some citrusfruity tartness. Surprisingly, a powerfully aroma. Taste is roasted, coffee, citrusfruits, the end is dry and strongly roasted, almost burned. Medium bodied, nice and smooth carbonation. Almost burned, but still enjoyable, sruprisingly powerfull beer.

33 cl bottle @ PBF VIII, BBE 12/2013
Aroma has cocoa, coffee and some dark lager elements. Flavour has soy sauce, salty licorice, ash, tobacco and distant coffee notes. Too thin but quite OK for this ABV.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a small head. Aroma of grainy malts, dark fruity notes, hints of chocolate and ash. Taste is grainy, ashy and smooth with hints of roastiness and chocolate. Finish is ashy, leathery and grainy with hints of roastiness. Decent, a bit unbalanced and light bodied.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 01-14, at 101 Beers, 20130810) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate, roasted malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and burnt. Too burnt but otherwise decent brew.
