Creamy tan head left a collar on a luxurious looking dark brown coloured body.
Raisin, rum & oak aroma.
Medium to full bodied, smooth greasy oily & clean.
Sweet concentrated blueberry, rum, raisin & vanilla tastes with tart boozy finish.
2022 Vintage & aged very nicely.

Bottle, very very little head, opaque black colour, dark chocolate, soy, caramel, roastiness, dark bread, some dried fruits, body not too big but the alcohol is a bit obtrusive. Nice and sippable, but a bit heavy.

Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer with a minimalistic beige head. Quite oily pour. The aroma has caramel sauce and alcohol, rum, roasted malts and a touch of coffee. It’s full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, quite sweet, yet with some bitterness. Roasted malts, caramel sauce, coffee, dark chocolate and lots of caramel sauce and brown sugar in the flavor. Some booziness. Everlasting warm finish. Too alcoholic this one, but sure with qualities. 231125

Thanks to Finn for sharing a 375ml bottle. Rating session with Finn and lmojoh. Almost naked at the surface, dotted spots on the glassware and black in body appearance. Rich on the nose with oak, chocolate and rum. Mixed taste profile of dates, raisin, and liquorice joined by chocolate on an oaky backbone. Smooth ending with moments of rum and oak. Fine depth to it. Slow sipper, rather sweet in the long run, still a good one. (Tromsø, 09.08.2023).

Bottled (from Alko Web). Black colour, not that much head. Aroma is rum, some liquorice, alcohol, and some wood with a wee bit of syrup. Flavour pretty much follows the pattern of the aroma with a bunch of rum sweetness. On the verge of being a bit too sweet for my taste.

Opaque black brown beer with small ran head. Palate is fairly light for a 13% Impy, decent fine carbonation as well. The dark malt base has a mild creamy sweetness and a smooth mild chocolate vibe that is somewhere in the middle of dark and milk chocolate. Trace of savoury wood adds an edge as does a little alcohol spice. A mellow but pleasing coffee. Smooth but fairly strong rum, not estery thankfully. More spice in the smooth finish. A layered and tasty ba Impy. Not quite the wow of the Triple Sec or Bourbon but very good.

17/2/2023. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is woody, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, molasses, rum. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium to full body, oily slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.
