Draught @Cafe Gijs, Amsterdam. Hazy pale amber colour, fair frothy white head, dissipating slowly, light lacing. Subdued aroma, pale malt, orange, lemon grass, piney hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, pine resin, orange, lychee, some grapefruit. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, very nice.

Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl, Vlissingen Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 10th August and again today Tuesday 12th August 2025 as I'd picked up two of these. Had this sat on the balcony listening to ByteFM after a nice pasta bake for tea. Pours warm gold, amber with large sticky white head that soon dropped. Taste is crisp, light resinous and middling bitterness, fruity and certainly a lot more West Coast IPA than a lot that call themselves this and aspire to be. However I still thought that despite doing the basics quite well, it could have been better and this for me is a missed opportunity from Walhalla. Quite good, could do better.

Can from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Delivers as promised with the proper West Coast blend of pine resin, fruity hop, grapefruit, orange, citrus zest, and soft malt. Long bitter taste, lightly sweetish. Medium body. I dig it.

CD: 12/11/2024. Straight from the can in my favourite film theater, Lab 111. Nice resinous hops upon opening the can. Resin and some dark malts retronasal. Flavour is above moderate bitter and light malty sweet. Medium bodied. Firm bitter finish.

Can drunk reading The First Law trilogy for the second time. Clear gold, small head, nice aroma of piney citrus and biscuity caramel. It's got medium body, a nice bite of bitterness, not on the wimpy side. A little tropical lychee and apricot round out the finish for an excellent modern West Coast entry.

On tap at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam on 23rd November 2023. Hazy amber with dense white foam and full lacing. Nutty aroma with fruitiness. Sharply bitter in-mouth and throughout the finish. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Quite bitter to 90s west coast style. Danker than most, earthy and deep. But a good solid body. Gollem amstelstraat
