--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Viscous black, no head. Syrupy nose with toasted almonds and whiskey. Very sweet with syrupy mouthfeel and full body. Chocolate syrup and malt syrup meets coconut and burnt almonds. Cloying finish with interesting, warming woody whiskey. Some unusually nice stuff for a pastry stout going on here, but it's oh so syrupy and cloying.

Bottle (from Pien Webshop). Pitch black colour, small brown head, which disappears somewhat quick. Aroma is liquorice, mild meaty (not in a bad way) tones, alcohol, some chocolate and almonds with coconut very subtle, giving a nice sweetness to the whole thing. Flavour is chocolate, some alcohol, mild almonds, some chocolate syrup with mild smoked ham tones as well as some slight tones of soy sauce way in the back. Nice smoked, liquorice and chocolate tones.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Dave for sourcing. Pours black-brown with a foamy, beige topping. Big dark malt aroma. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, loads of rich and layered chocolatey mats, some bourbon, torched caramel, burnt marshmallows, creamy vanilla, fudge, light earthy bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little sticky, some barrel, raisins, more fudge, rocky road. Delicious stuff, decadent, layered.

Thanks to the team, big thanks to Wingman. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark chocolate, little vanilla and a mild nuttyness. Good bourbon barrel boozy bite and spice on the semi dry finish. Thoroughly entertaining.
