Bottle. A clear, dark amber beer topped by a small, light beige head. Rather malty aroma, with a solid dose of honey and herbs. The flavor has a pleasant bitterness, but I’m not sure it goes well with the honey and herbs. Some notes of dried fruits blends in. It’s quite sweet. Full to medium body, low on carbonation. Certainly not a favorite, although a small glass is fine. Don’t think I could finish a whole bottle. 130205

Pours golden with offwhite head. Aroma is very much honey. Taste is so much honey and very sweet, like drinking pure honey. Bad, too sweet too much honey.

0.5l bottle kindly traded with ElDesmadre. The pour on this one is really really deep dark red-brown and it has a small brown lacing head. Honey in the aroma? Oh, yeah! Like sticking your head in a bee cube! Really overwhelming, still quite nice. Also some hints of wet cardboard and some fruity chocolate hints. As expected it's quite sweet this one, not to sweet or anything, but really honey-sweet. Medium-bodied with a average carbonation level and it has a oily to watery texture in the mouth. Heather honey flavors with a dusty and light mild woody hint near the finish. Not bad, but I think I prefer a proper mead over this. 06.04.2012

bottle from Wine of Dreams/Jola Warszawa. Deep brown colour, large beige head. Lovely, lovely aroma of forest honey! Full-bodied, solid malty base with hints of caramel, lots of delicious forest honey/dark honey/pine tree honey in there. Smooth palate. Incredibly well balanced, a true delight. I would drink this anytime, hope I can get it again. The best Polish honey beer I’ve tasted so far. Outstanding.
